A Study Permit gives you the authority to stay in the country. It has the details about your purpose: what is your reason, why you are here, what course level you are studying, what is the duration, and if there are any restrictions in terms of work.Â
Study Permit is often confused with Student Visa. However, both of them have different meanings and purpose. A Student Visa is an authorization to enter into the country. It is a conditional authorization, which means that even if you have a student visa, the officer at the border has the authority to deny you entry into the country.Â
In short, Â Student Visa allows you to enter a country.Â
   Student Permit allows you to stay in the country.
The general category or Non-SDS category options are similar to SDS, but if you do not entirely fulfill the SDS requirement or in other words, if you get a little less points than requirements, then you have the option of general category after fulfilling the other requirements.Â
Once the visa team has explained the process, they will request you to upload the required documents to your account to proceed with the formalities. On your portal you can also pay necessary charges for your visa.Â
Make sure all the documents are scanned clearly and in the specified format. You obviously do not want to create a fuss and delay the process.
When your file is ready and verified, your visa application will be submitted. The visa processing time is different for each country and based on current political, environmental and biological situations in the country the timeline will get impacted.
After the student visa approval, you have to prepare for travel and for sure you will have a lot of questions, we provide you with important guidelines and information so that your travel is safe and hassle-free.
After you land and have entered Canada there is mandatory registration and orientation process that you need to follow. Sometimes there are mandatory entry tests that you need to take as well.
