What is study permit?

A Study Permit gives you the authority to stay in the country. It has the details about your purpose: what is your reason, why you are here, what course level you are studying, what is the duration, and if there are any restrictions in terms of work. 

Study Permit is often confused with Student Visa. However, both of them have different meanings and purpose. A Student Visa is an authorization to enter into the country. It is a conditional authorization, which means that even if you have a student visa, the officer at the border has the authority to deny you entry into the country. 

In short,  Student Visa allows you to enter a country. 

      Student Permit allows you to stay in the country.

How to apply for Visa
