About Northern Lights College

The Northern Lights is named after the spectacular Aurora Borealis, known as the “Northern Lights.” Established in 1975, Northern Lights College is known as B.C.’s Energy College and is the choice for energy and technology training. Northern Lights College roots runs deep from the mountains, forests, to the lakes and rivers. These roots are rich in resources and represents the values and programming of the institution. The main priorities of the college are the Students, Programming, People and Culture, and Community and Connections. After graduation students will have the training and education to enter specialized workforce and step directly into one of 15 different trades and apprenticeships. Northern Lights College aims for students to graduate with lifelong skills that they can use beyond the classroom.
